Writing for Children: Finding the Magic with Barb Rosenstock
You’ve got an idea that would make an excellent children’s book. Now what? How do you decide on a format? Know you’re on the right track? Are there any tips or tricks to make the drafting and revising easier? Join veteran author Barb Rosenstock as she takes you on a brief journey from initial idea through finished book, with stops at deciding on audience, drafting and shaping your manuscript, and thinking about visuals (even if you’re not an artist). Presented in collaboration with the Society for Children’s Book Writers and Illustrators. Membership is not required to attend -- all are welcome!

On the Road Again Celebration
After a summer of construction, Oak Park Avenue is getting ready to reopen—and we’re marking the occasion with a community block party in the Hemingway District. To celebrate, Piggie and Gerald are coming to Dandelion Bookshop! Your favorite best friends will make appearances throughout the day, including story times at 10:15 am and 2:15 pm. We can’t wait to see you, reader!
