About

What we are

Lit Circle is a guide to the literary life happening around you. We track author events, book clubs, readings, signings, and festivals across your area and point you toward the independent bookstores and articles worth your time.

Why we built it

There is an extraordinary literary culture around us, full of world-class authors, fiercely independent booksellers, and communities of readers who show up for each other. But events were scattered across dozens of websites, newsletters, and social feeds. We built Lit Circle to put it all in one place. We're starting in Chicago, and aim to spread nationwide.

How we work

We're an independent project, not affiliated with any bookstore, publisher, or literary organization. We don't sell tickets or take referral fees. We find the good stuff, check the details, and make it easy for you to show up. If you run an event or bookstore and want to be listed, we'd love to hear from you.
