A Novel Idea on Passyunk
A Novel Idea on Passyunk is a queer, disabled, woman-owned independent bookstore and event space in South Philadelphia. Since opening in December 2018, we've hosted over 1,200 events, with the majority of them being free or suggested donation.

A Seat at the Table Books is a family-owned "third space" bookstore in Elk Grove, CA, that fosters community through a book selection curated around representation, eco-friendly coffee, and mission-driven events. We strive to be safe and affirming for all identities. As a third space, we're somewhere you belong outside of home and work. As part of our mission, we have a cafe with eco-friendly hot coffee, cold brew, and tea, along with locally baked pastries, breakfast and lunch options, beer and wine, and even floats! More than just a store, Adventure, Ink is a gathering place. We feature a wide selection of new and used books, comics, and games, specializing in genres like RPGs, Sci-Fi/Fantasy, Horror, and middle-grade fiction, as well as a unique selection of gifts from local makers, and retro collectibles & media from the 80's and 90's. We are both kid-friendly and dog-friendly, and we stand openly in support of LGBTQIA+ pride, Black Lives Matter, trans rights, disability rights, body positivity, and, of course, access to reading/anti-book censorship. Our community has made us what we are today, and so we offer a space where we hope we can all feel seen, heard, and accepted.
