Booked is partnering with Art Makers Outpost to celebrate Lucy Knisley's newest picture book, Searching for Wocks!Searching for Wocks is a children's picture book by graphic novelist Lucy Knisley, about a child collecting interesting "wocks" (like bottlecaps and stones) on a walk, celebrating finding wonder in everyday objects. Published by Rocky Pond Books, it's a hardcover for ages 3-5, with a release date of June 9, 2026, and is available for pre-order. Join us for storytime with Lucy, rock painting, and the inaugural installation of the Temporary Wocks Museum! You can BYOW (bring your own wock) to display in the museum! All wocks will return to wock collectors after being displayed, along with their museum placard. We will also have an Adopt-a-Wock box for anyone who needs a new wock. Lucy Knisley is an American comic artist and musician. Her work is often autobiographical, and food is a common theme. Knisley's drawn travel journal French Milk was published through Simon & Schuster in October 2008. It received positive reviews in several publications, such as USA Today and Salon.com.
