About This Event
Join us at Goblin Market, in the center of Brunch Fest, to meet authors Sarah Becan and Josh Noel. Returning for its third year, this can’t-miss event takes over Lincoln Avenue from Diversey to Wellington for a delicious day of food, entertainment and family fun.
From 10 am-2pm., local restaurants will serve up signature brunch bites and creative new favorites, while live entertainment and kid-friendly activities transform the street into a brunch lover’s paradise. Signing times TBD.

Sarah Becan
Sarah Becan is a comics artist, author, illustrator, and designer based in Chicago. She is also the creator of I Think You’re Sauceome, a food-centric autobiographical webcomic. She illustrated the cookbook The Adventures of Fat Rice and is the coauthor and illustrator of Let’s Make Ramen! and Let’s Make Dumplings! Her work has appeared in various publications, including Saveur, Eater, Organic Life, StarChefs, and Tasting Table.
Josh Noel
Josh Noel is the author of Malort: The Redemption of a Revered and Reviled Spirit and Barrel-Aged Stout and Selling Out. He wrote about beer and travel for the Chicago Tribune for over a decade; he has also contributed to This American Life and to the New York Times and other publications. He has become one of the nation’s most recognizable beer journalists, winning multiple awards from the North American Guild of Beer Writers. He lives in Chicago with his wife and children.

Jessica Mlinaric
Jessica Mlinaric is the author of Secret Chicago and Chicago Scavenger. Her writing and photography covering travel and culture have appeared in Fodor’s, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Chicago magazine, and more. Jessica founded urbnexplorer.com in 2010. When she’s not writing, you can find her at a concert, museum, or neighborhood tavern. Jessica lives in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood with her husband and cat.
