Join us for the first of our autumn maker's markets! Our Finally Fall market will be Saturday September 12th, 12-4pm, featuring local wares ranging from baked goods to ceramics, soap, chai, concrete statues, jewelry, and more.
Join us for another craft night at the Capy on Saturday August 29th and build your own book nook! If you're not familiar, book nooks are cozy little miniature scenes that you can put together and add to your bookshelf as decoration. Tickets are $50/person and include a full book nook kit ($35 value) and additional supplies to help with construction, plus complimentary tea/coffee/hot chocolate as always. Spaces are limited!
What's Bookstore Romance Day, you ask? It's a day dedicated to romance books and romance readers, celebrated in bookstores nationwide! This year it's slated for Saturday August 15th, and we'll have a trope-themed prize wheel (win discounts or giveaways!) and a romance recommendation wall, plus handmade jewelry, henna, and coffee pop-ups onsite, featuring ZeeBeeHenna, Sora, and Cafe Monarque! The main event with prizes runs 1-3pm, but our vendors will be here 12-4pm if you want to come earlier/later and skip the crowd. 😊 See you there
Book bedazzling has been a much-requested event lately and by popular demand, we're finally doing it! Join us on Saturday August 1st, 6:30-8:30pm, for a summer craft night filled with unusually sparkly books. Bring your own book to bedazzle or buy one onsite, and all bedazzling supplies will be provided. $25/person, space is limited!
Join us on Saturday July 18th for a Capy Summer Bash! ☀️ We'll be giving out free ice cream (capycones, aka Drumsticks) with $5+ purchases from 1-3pm! We'll also have capybara balloons and specialty capy-themed drinks from Cafe Monarque for sale, exclusive to this event, along with plenty of fresh summer reads. 😎
Join us Saturday July 11th 6:30-8pm for a workshop on beautifying your blank hardcovers with intricate foil designs! Bring your own book or buy one onsite, and all foiling supplies will be provided. $30/person. Spots are limited!
Have you seen the price of eggs lately? It's never been a better time to think about 🐥backyard chickens🐥! Join us on Wednesday June 24th for an introductory class led by our very own Christian C., local chicken-keeper and fowl enthusiast. You'll learn all the basics you need to get started, including coop setup, breed selection, raising chicks, ongoing care, and more. It's sure to be an eggs-perience you won't forget. Tickets are only a paltry (poultry) $5 - snag your ticket now!
