The Lit Wagon
The Lit Wagon is a women-owned, Chicago-based pop-up bookstore that brings thoughtfully curated new & used books to community spaces across the city and suburbs. Rather than operating from a traditional storefront, we partner with coffee shops, markets, festivals, small businesses, and local events to create welcoming, book-filled experiences wherever we go.
We specialize in contemporary fiction, literary fiction, queer literature, children’s books, giftable reads, and themed seasonal curation — with a strong focus on discovery, conversation, and community connection. Our pop-ups are designed to feel approachable, cozy, and a little serendipitous.
In addition to our regular events, we host monthly give-back initiatives that support a designated Charity of the Month, using bookselling to directly support local organizations and causes we care about.
Whether you’re stopping by for a beach read, a beautifully designed nonfiction pick, or a surprise “blind date with a book,” The Lit Wagon is all about making independent bookselling feel joyful, mobile, and community-centered. Come stop by and say hi!
